Update on Christopher - 22 Dec 2009 PDF Print E-mail

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you very much for your prayers and encouragement. By God’s grace Christopher was released (on parole) from the hospital yesterday. His creatinine levels are still unacceptably high and we’re still waiting for his new kidney to start cleansing his system of the toxins built up.

However, he is now off all drips, drains and tubes. We persuaded the doctors to let Christopher come home. He is now a day patient- going in to the hospital each day for blood tests. We have a tray of medications to administer at home, but everyone is delighted to have Christopher back home.

Yesterday was three weeks since he was admitted to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. Christopher is very happy not to be woken up throughout the night for blood pressure and temperature readings, to take more medicine and all the other interruptions that go along with being in a busy hospital.

The specialists are still carefully monitoring his progress and are discussing all the kinds of operations in the event of further delay. Please continue to lift up Christopher in prayer and trust God with us for a full recovery of kidney functions and good health.

May God abundantly bless you and your family with a HAPPY CHRISTMAS and a great NEW YEAR.
